SJSU 100th Anniversary Band Logo

Representing the SJSU band’s final concert of the semester and anniversary, I used the original logo as a foundation and developed multiple concepts through an expansive iterative process to arrive at the final design.

The client requested that the new logo retain recognizable elements from the original, most notably the arch formed by triangles. I began by exploring multiple ways to incorporate this shape, including using it within the zeros or as a border element. Through continued iteration, I ultimately placed the arch in a position closely aligned with its original placement, preserving brand familiarity while refining the overall form. Reaching this solution early in the process allowed me to dedicate more time to exploring and refining the color palette, strengthening the final design.
